STYLIGHT is an awesome fashion community as well as an amazing fashion search engine. We are reinventing the way people discover fashion online and we are busy baking the yummiest fashion cakes for you all! We only use the best ingredients: over 400,000 fashion items and 4,000 different brands from over 70 online shops, making us the biggest fashion community in Europe. On STYLIGHT, not only can you discover the newest fashion items for yourself but we can show you dresses, trousers, shoes, bags… that you didn’t even know you wanted. And the best thing: you set the trends and you can link up with other fashionistas from all over Europe and see what items they’ve “hearted” and build your own style profile. What’s more, you have the possibility to upload videos and photos onto your profile in no time at all. You can also share your individual style with your friends through Facebook, Twitter or Blogs. We are reinventing the way people discover fashion. That’s all really… a small global fashion revolution.
Meet the Bakers!
STYLIGHT GmbH was founded in 2008 by four Head Bakers: Anselm Bauer, Benjamin Günther, Max-Josef Meier and Sebastian Schuon. They met at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich and whilst working on a university project together, they realised that there was a search platform for pretty much everything, except fashion. During a semester abroad in Silicon Valley in the USA, the STYLIGHT vision was born. But this homemade formula was not created in a garage but in a living room! So STYLIGHT has been making the fashion world just that little bit tastier since November 2008.
Some of our investors include Holtzbrinck Ventures, Tengelmann Ventures, as well as Business Angels Urs Keller (B2ABC New Media GmbH) and Stefan Gessulat (Gessulat Media GmbH).
The Bakery: Where the magic happens!
In the magical STYLIGHT bakery, over 50 bakers from eleven countries are busy cooking up unique fashion content for our websites. The four Head Bakers have been given countless awards for their innovative technology and business ideas, including one of the top 25 “Most promising web start-ups” from the European Tech Tour and one of the top 15 “most innovative companies in Europe 2012” from the European Venture Capital Association. We are proud to bleed purple!
