Trainers

The trainers, once nothing more than a sport shoe, nowadays, taking over the world or to put it less dramatic, taking over the fashion scene. Originally trainers were sporting apparel, only to be worn while being completely unfashionable when exercising sports. But things have changed and today except for the typical running shoes (which, btw, are totally stylish!), trainers can be worn every day.

Trainers, everyone needs them

An endless discussion over the perfect trainers is right around the corner. But where we all agree on is the following: everyone has trainers, whether they are for sports purpose or fashion purpose, trainers are the one pair of shoes you will find in any wardrobe! Men, women and children, all have a pair. Where most men love a pair of trainers (some men can even be called trainers addicts), women are still divided in two camps. The camp, that swears by a good pair of trainers, and the camp that has no affection with trainers whatsoever. But no matter what camp you are in or what your opinion on trainers is, you can´t escape them. Sometimes high heels are just no option and a good pair of trainers in your footwear collection comes in handy! So why not making it fun to find the perfect trainers?

Endless options with a pair of trainers

As fans already know, sneakers are hot! Whether you go chill mode, wearing a pair of Nikes under your joggings, combine your low top trainers with jeans for the casual look, or make a fashion statement wearing high top trainers under a cute little dress; trainers are fashion and show endless options. Although mostly worn as causal apparel, trainers can be elegant too. Nowadays leather and suede trainers are just an extra choice you have to make. You can even run in style. Save Your Soles: How to Keep Your Sneakers Clean

Running, jumping or dancing– you’re always on the move in your sneakers. Though they’re built to keep up with even your most adventurous activities, they can suffer from serious wear and tear.

Keep your favorite sneaks in tip-top shape by giving them the care they deserve. Here’s how:

Clean Them Up

Don’t let dirt pile up, and give your sneakers a deep clean every few weeks. Use a toothbrush or wooden handle shoe brush, water and mild soap to scrub your shoes down. For white sneakers with stubborn stains, scrub with baking soda and water or a shoe cleaner to restore the bright color.

Wash the Laces

What is a clean pair of shoes without a fresh set of laces? Restore your laces to their former glory by tossing them into a laundry net and putting them in the washing machine with detergent.

Always Be Gentle

Everyone is guilty of sliding their feet into sneakers without untying the laces. It’s a bad habit that does more harm than good. By forcing your way into them, you stretch the laces and the sneaker itself. Don’t send your sneakers to an early grave and take your time putting them on and lacing them up tight.

Combat & Destroy Odor

While you get a kick out of wearing your most prized pair of sneaks, odor slowly starts to creep in after a while. It may be tempting to throw them in the washing machine, but the damage you’ll cause will leave you fuming. Keep foot stench at bay by spritzing a sneaker deodorizer in each shoe.

While sneakers are always game for a walk through the park or quick game of basketball, they still need a pick-me-up to keep them durable and long-lasting. Keep these tips in mind and your kicks will always look like they’re fresh out of the box.
