Four Ways to Wind Down in a Pair of Slippers

When was the last time you took a moment to relax? With a schedule as hectic as yours, it seems like you’re always on the move. There’s nothing wrong with being a busy bee, but sometimes, you need to do nothing but chill out every once in a while.

Kick off those pumps or dress shoes and put on a pair of slippers instead as you take on one of these four ways to wind down whenever your agenda permits.

DIY your mani and pedi.

Sometimes something as simple as going to the salon to get your nails done can seem more like a chore than anything else. Why go out and wait for your turn when you can do it yourself at home? Put on thonged fluffy sandals, and give those cuticles the TLC they deserve.

Cuddle up.

If it seems like you and your partner are always passing each other by due to conflicting schedules, it’s essential that you carve out some quality time. Even if it’s time spent doing nothing but lounging around the house together, you’ll both be at peace in your sweatpants and a cozy pair of sandals.

Stick a fork in it.

Dining out is so easy, but there’s one thing that is actually more enjoyable than a fast-food meal, no matter how fresh the french fries are out of the fryer: a home-cooked one. Gather all the ingredients for that recipe you’ve had saved for months now and pull on slipper boots that’ll comfort your feet while you do your thing in the kitchen.

Shake, rattle and roll.

Feeling stressed lately? Sometimes the best thing you can do is let loose. Literally. Put on your favorite playlist and dance like no one’s watching. Slip and slide down your hallways in house shoes so soft they’ll give you happy feet.

The demands of life can take a lot out of you. Give back to yourself with a pair of slippers and make the most out of whatever free time you have.
