Share the Vision of YSL with Saint Laurent T-Shirts

Yves Saint laurent, without whom prêt-à-porter would not exist, is perhaps one of the greatest influencers of women’s fashion as we know it today. He pushed boundaries, challenged what society considered “normal” and sent women down the catwalk in groundbreaking threads that shook the fashion world to its core.

Pay homage to the designer and his storied house by using Saint Laurent T-shirts to recreate some of his classic looks.

Safari Jacket

The sleek, military-like jacket has been reinterpreted and updated numerous times ever since it splashed across the scene in the late ‘60s. But it will forever be immortalized in a Vogue photograph featuring a model clad in the safari jacket, reeling the viewer in with a steely gaze. Recreate the sentiment of this iconic look—bold, exotic and timeless—wearing a leopard print shirt, black cropped pants and the maison’s jacket with a brown waist belt.

Le Smoking Suit

This one really turned everyone on their heads at the time. A woman in a tuxedo? It was daring and bordered on the erotic—and it worked. After all this time, it’s still one of the designer’s most iconic looks. While showing up at work in a full-on suit may be a tad bit fancy, you can recreate this empowering ensemble wearing a frill-trim top, pin-striped dinner jacket and cigarette pants.

Mondrian Dress

This colorblock cocktail dress is literally art in motion, as the couturier modeled it after the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. Using only primary colors against a white background, Yves Saint Laurent created a collection of dresses that were fresh and modern, perfect for the free-spirited ideal of the ‘60s. Compose your own “Mondrian” with a graphic-print top paired with a white pencil skirt and yellow T-strap sandals.

Our closets wouldn’t be half of what they are today if Yves Saint Laurent wasn’t willing to share his vision. With a Saint Laurent T-shirt, you can partake in that vision, too.

These Saint Laurent shirts are magnifique.
