Open-back shoes for women: These pants go perfectly with them
Open-back shoes are popular summer shoes that are easy and comfortable to slip on, and sporty and casual to wear. They are perfectly suited to tougher activities like light gardening, taking the dog for a walk in the park or a picnic on the lake. We will tell you pants go best with open-back shoes for women:
Cheeky shorts
The perfect contrast to these heavy shoes are light brown, slim legs. If you check that box, feel free to wear denim shorts with frayed edges or chino short-shorts in navy, black or red. Beige or khaki are out – otherwise the look will be just too square! Single color surfer shorts can also show off the figures of slimmer ladies in open-back shoes. With neutral pants, the shoes can be more ecentric, but it’s usually better to go for a plain design.
Sexy jeans
It’s best to go for a 7/8 length design because slim ankles will make the open-back shoes look less heavy. Never go for capris or 3/4 length jeans: If you combine open-back shoes with these styles, you legs will look chubbier than they actually are. For a real winner, go for sexy jeans with interesting fading. Color-wise, anything goes. If it comes in denim, you can wear it: all shades of blue, black or even gray.
Chino contrast
Classic, slim cut chinos make a gorgeous contrast to heavy open-back shoes for women. Fold up the pant legs once or twice. A two-tone fabric belt will go great with this look. Super at the seaside, chinos look great in navy or red with dark blue, white or black open-back shoes. No-Gos: Try to stay away from beige or other natural colors when choosing your pants, these colors will quickly make you look uncool.
Elegant leather hot pants
Leather hot pants can also be worn with open-back shoes for women – if you combine them in the right way. It’s best to go for black or warm brown colors for your hot pants and smooth leather and suede are the best materials. Your top should also be kept plain. Black or dark brown open-back shoes are great for that. What makes this outfit really special is that it’s the perfect blend of elegant and rough-around-the-edges. For a gorgeous effect, keep the look to one or two colors at the most.
Usually open-back shoes are easier to combine with the clothes taller, slimmer women wear. Short, more voluptuous women are probably better off with other shoe types like ballerina flats or sandals. And just a little tip to send you on your way: Never – and we mean never ever – wear socks with open-back shoes!
