SJP is the new face of Intimissimi and we want her look
Just a few months ago Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie Bradshaw, style icon ever since Sex and the City first aired in 1998, was papped in the streets of New York City in nothing more than a pair of silk PJs and a beautiful balconette bra. We’ve been trying to guess what was going on ever since, and now we know – SJP has been announced as the new face of lingerie brand Intimissimi.
The glamorous actress was chosen by the Italian brand as the third ambassador of their global campaign Empowered Women, officially taking the reigns from Chiara Ferragni and Gisele Bündchen. The new autumn/winter 2018 campaign starring Sarah Jessica Parker is inspired by the sentiment, “Nobody can judge me”: seduction, charisma and strength are the key words, perfectly interpreted by SJP’s nonchalance strutting through the streets of the Big Apple in her pyjamas.
Speaking about the campaign, the star of the campaign said “I think it’s really interesting and smart to launch the message that every woman should decide on her own life. I hope that this campaign is an inspiration for all women and that leads them to tell their own story and be themselves“. Our takeaway? Every woman is free to be sensual in her own way.
It was hard not to mistake the new face of Intimissimi for her longterm character Carrie in behind the scenes shots: there’s a yellow taxi like that of the TV series intro titles, and then there’s a brownstone building with a cast iron staircase that is reminiscent of the beloved fictional writer’s home. The tutu is sadly missing, but in its place there’s a super chic look: navy blue silk pajamas worn open to show a lace balconette bra, paired with a dazzling statement necklace and glittering stilettos.
