Meghan Markle’s BFF is engaged to a Jonas Brother

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are reportedly set to walk down the aisle and sources say Chopra’s BFF, the Duchess of Sussex, couldn’t be happier.

Meghan Markle is “very excited” for the couple, a source told E! News. Chopra, one of Meghan’s longtime friends, attended both her wedding and the exclusive Royal Wedding evening reception at Frogmore House.

The 25-year-old former Disney star proposed to his 36-year-old girlfriend of two months after reportedly visiting Meghan and Prince Harry in Oxfordshire, England.

Sources say Jonas closed down a Tiffany & Co. store in New York City to buy an engagement ring. He proposed to the Bollywood actress while the couple was vacationing in London on her 36th birthday.

The engagement comes just two months after Jonas and Chopra began dating in May. They made their red carpet debut together at the 2018 Met Gala in coordinating Ralph Lauren looks.

The Duchess discussed her friendship with the newly engaged actress in July 2016 with the Press Trust of India.

“Priyanka is unbelievable,” Meghan Markle told the publication. “You know when you meet someone and you just ‘click’…It was just an easy, natural progression.”

The love between the two friends is definitely mutual. Chopra told Harper’s Bazaar Arabia in 2017 that the former Suits star would be a natural royal.

“I don’t think anybody else would be able to do it the way she will. She’s just right for it,” Chopra explained.

“She’s an icon, truly, that girls can look up to, that women can look up to. She’s normal, she’s sweet, she’s nice, she thinks about the world, wants to change it and this was before any of this happened.”
