While an Off-White x Nike collaboration already carried a hefty price tag on resale sites like StockX and GOAT, following the passing of Off-White designer Virgil Abloh in November 2021, those numbers skyrocketed, according to Complex.

In the hours after his death was announced, prices for one of Off-White’s most popular models, the Off-White Air Jordan 1 in “Chicago” saw its “aftermarket price [double] by 100 percent, from an average of $5,500 to $10,600 in some sizes,” the magazine reports.
