5 Gucci dupes if you can’t afford the real thing

Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the savviest shopper of them all? While visions of Gucci’s famous GG emblem haunt our dreams, with bills to pay and overpriced lattes to drink, our credit cards won’t be swiping on a $2,500 Gucci bag any time soon.

However, as hunting down designer bag dupes is basically our passion project, we challenged ourselves to find five Gucci dupes for some of the brand’s most iconic bags, shoes, and accessories – for a fraction of the price.

From the classic Gucci ‘Marmont’ bag to their influencer-beloved ‘Ace’ sneakers, scroll to find five (more-or-less affordable) dupes to Gucci’s high-end classics.

If the classic Gucci ‘GG Marmont’ bag is a touch (or mile) outside of your financial comfort zone, the quilted ‘Edie’ shoulder bag from Rebecca Minkoff may be a middle-of-the-range substitute to soften the blow. While Gucci’s ‘GG Marmont’ styles range between $990 and $4,000, the most expensive ‘Edie’ bag comes in at less than $400.

Gucci’s sleek ‘Princetown’ slippers start at $790. For a fraction of the price, you can keep the cool-girl look with the Tory Burch backless loafer. On sale, the slip-on shoe costs under $200.

Recreated from an archival design, Gucci’s gorgeous ‘Horsebit 1955’ shoulder bag has remained a prize investment piece over the last six decades. The least expensive of Gucci’s ‘Horsebit’ bag collection is its small shoulder bag, with a price tag of $1,490, while its snakeskin version of the bag can reach upwards of $4,600.

Sporting a similar logo-centric canvas facade is the Coach ‘Tabby’ shoulder bag. A new season style from the all-American brand, the ‘Tabby’ bag is available for $489.

Even at their affordable price tag, Tommy Hilfiger’s stripe-design sneakers are a double-take on the $650 Gucci ‘Ace’ model (which can climb to a whopping $1,250).

For less than half the price, the round sunglasses from Kate Spade New York are a near-identical dupe to Gucci’s $300 round-frame pair. There are several models to choose from, but the Taliyah and and Lottie are the most similar to the iconic oversized round frames of the Gucci sunglasses. And for the sky-high price of the Gucci sunglasses, you could buy three stylish sunnies plus have extra change for ice cream.
