Sea Siren Hair Is The New Summer Hair Trend
Dior and Louis Vuitton Resort 2018, Gucci and Fendi Fall 2017: These shows are just the tip of the sea siren hair iceberg. Lately designers have been forgoing the tradish Cali girl beach wave in favour of more classical inspiration: Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. The most recent runways have given us variations on the slightly unkempt, occasionally haphazardly braided, voluminous ‘do of this 15th century masterpiece.
Not to be confused with mermaid hair, which is all about the multiple sea-toned colours, sea siren hair is focused on the styling rather than the dye job. It’s bouncy curls that are half fuzzy and slightly salt-spritzed; work whatever hair colour you’ve got going on, just be sure to throw in some tiny, tiny braids for good measure. And, if you’re really wanting to create some oomph, crimp a couple of small segments or loosely plait it, maybs with some ribbons. They’re really help to keep your sea siren hair looking fresh-from-the-ocean.
