Why face oil is a skincare must-have during the fall/winter
Fall and winter are not only made for our heaviest jackets and chunkiest sweaters, but they also happen to be the seasons where our lips start to chap and our summer skin flakes away. The solution? Face oils!
Here’s why we’re introducing face oils to our skincare routines this fall/winter.

Face oils for dry skin
If you have dry skin, a face oil can help replenish your skin’s moisture barrier.
Over time, you may find yourself needing less moisturiser, less primer and less makeup overall because your skin will look so healthy.
If you’re worried about “overwhelming” your skin with products, feel free to skip the moisturiser and just apply the oil.
If you’re going to be wearing makeup on top, wait a few minutes before applying your foundation to allow the oil to soak in fully.
Otherwise, you can use some overnight, almost as a sleeping mask. You’ll wake up to glowy, beautiful skin!
Oily/combination skin
If you have oily or acne-prone skin, you might be thinking that a face oil won’t be for you: it might clog your pores or make your oily skin even oiler.
That actually couldn’t be further from the truth! The good news is that a face oil may actually be the skincare antidote you’ve been looking for.
Rather than producing more sebum, a topical oil will give the skin the moisture that it needs and may help improve/lessen overall oil production. Seriously, this is a game-changer.
