3 cool British makeup artists to follow on Instagram
You probably already follow queens of makeup artistry like Pat McGrath, but every now and then, you have to spice up who you follow and keep your own skills in check. We’ve had our eye on three British rockstars for a while now and we’re sure they will make your Instagram feed an exciting place!
Making a name for themselves with inventive, game-changing make-up, these women are the ultimate inspiration if you’re looking to try more adventurous looks.
The London-based makeup artist’s feed is full of fresh looks. Anne Sofie Costa is known for playing with lots of gloss and color! She’s totally okay with leaving slight imperfections over caked-on foundation. She also manages to transform ‘out-there’ make-up into something surprisingly wearable – highlighting the cheekbone with subtle stick-on stars, dabbing on freckles with opalescent glitter and using eyeshadow over the brow for a striking everyday look.
Lucy Bridge studied hair and make-up in Manchester before making the move to London and has since created make-up for big names including i-D, Vogue, Chanel, Raf Simons, Charles Jeffrey, and Tim Walker. She’s also turned her hand to plus-size modeling, and made her debut in i-D’s 2009 Chanel special after being spotted by Tim Walker on a bus.
If Danielle Kahlani isn’t currently on your beauty radar – then she definitely should be. Working mainly with her twin sister Nicole (with Danielle on make-up and Nicole manning all-things hair), this super-cool duo has worked with clients such as Wonderland, i-D, Chanel and Louis Vuitton and Topshop. We love Danielle’s leaning towards retro looks from the 90s and early 00s.
