All clothes deserve tender loving care, and linen pants are no exception. They’re a must-have for scorching temperatures, but a long day of sitting and sweating can take a toll on your linen. Durable and stretch-resistant, count on the fabric to bounce back after a long day of wrinkles.

Use the Gentle Cycle

Linen, unlike many other fabrics, is strong while wet. But just like with jeans, bras and underwear, do a separate, gentle load for your linen bottoms. Dirt comes off linen easily, so hand-washing is another alternative.

Tumble Dry at High Heat

Despite popular belief, you can put linen in the dryer because it can withstand high temperatures. Initial shrinkage will happen, however. If you bought your pants perfectly fitted, hang dry them instead. It’s also better to leave linen slightly damp to prepare for steaming.
