The Do’s and Don’ts of Black Jeggings

It’s no mystery why women flock toward jeggings instead of skinny jeans—they’re comfy and hug you in all the right places, which in turn gives you a confidence boost. But wear these form-fitting pants the wrong way and it’ll be a recipe of disaster.

We’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves when it comes to these comfortable pants. Read on to see some of our cardinal rules for black jeggings.

Do:

Dress them up. Nobody said comfort wear can’t be stylish. Take your black jeggings out on the town with a pair that has a leather-like sheen to it. Wear them with a slouchy gray T-shirt tucked into them, black pumps, and dark eyeliner for a rocker-chic ensemble.

Don’t:

Sheer is not always the way to go when it comes to jeggings. Make sure you’re covered up in all the right places before heading out the door by either wearing them with a long shirt and jacket or with an oversized chunky sweater and thigh-high boots.

Do:

Go sporty with your black jeggings and create an athleisure inspired outfit. Try a style with a logo-printed waistband, a racerback crop top and finish off the look with high-top sneakers. Throw on a hoodie to complete the casual-chic look.

Don’t:

Don’t forget to dress for the occasion. Just because they look good on you doesn’t mean they are always appropriate. Make sure you pick a style that fits the venue you are going to. By themselves, jeggings can seem too casual. If you are going for a fancy dinner, maybe your black jeggings aren’t the way to go. Instead, try a figure-hugging dress and sky-high heels.

Have the best of both worlds with the comfort of leggings but the look of denim in black jeggings. With these do’s and don’ts, you’ll be able to rock your black jeggings any day of the week.
