Crochet beanies for men: The right hat for every face
Bare heads are so out! In dreary weather and frosty temperatures the man of today wears fashionable crochet beanies. Whether you’re picking beanies for a suit, bobble hats for down coats or knitted caps for jogging, the selection of beautiful hats is enormous. But not every face looks great under every hat. Stylight shows you which hat is the perfect match for your head.
Round face shapes
A round face is marked out by pronounced cheekbones and uniform shapes. People with round faces should go for bulkier models like beanies or berets. Baseball caps for men or other models with a visor are a good choice too because they visually interrupt the round shape. Hats that have little volume or leave the forehead uncovered do not flatter round faces at all.
Oval face shapes
If you have an oval face, well done! Whether you go for field caps, beanies or crochet caps for men, people with oval face shapes have the perfect face for hats and can wear virtually any kind. The features of an oval face are balance and symmetry. The bones of the face are slightly rounded, the jaw line and chin align harmoniously.
Heart-shaped faces
Pronounced cheek bones, a wide forehead and a pointy chin are the features of a heart-shaped face. Tight-fitting hats are best avoided because they can make the forehead look wider than it is. Loose sitting models like bobble hats flatter heart-shaped faces the best. Just as advantageous are aviator hats with ear flaps because they make the bottom half of the face seem wider.
Square face shapes
People with square faces have foreheads and chins which are more or less the same width and pronounced cheekbones. To avoid widening the forehead any further: Stay away from tight-fitting hats! Models like knitted caps, crochet beanies or fleece hats for men are perfect because they have little volume and no brim. They should be placed as loosely as possible on your head or worn at an angle.
Skin and eye color are also deciding factors for choosing a hat. Men with tanned skin and dark hair should choose men’s beanies in yellow, pastel, beige or bottle green. Men with light skin and dark hair and eyes can go for contrasting and bright colors like pink, red or blue. White, Bordeaux, brown and orange don’t look good on men with super light hair and green or blue eyes.
