Capri Trousers

Normally worn in warm weather, Capri Trousers originated in Europe in the 1940's and then spread elsewhere, including the United States, Latin America, and Asia. Capri pants were worn by a number of celebrities, including Mary Tyler Moore, Grace Kelly, Luke Halpin, and Rafael Nadal. Great for a day off work, hanging out with friends, or a lazy Sunday at home. Stylight is pleased to highlight a sample of Capri Trousers.

Cut the Crop in a Chic Capri Pant

Cut the crop and opt for an ankle-baring pant that will put your cropped trousers to shame. Coming in at mid calf and a range of silhouettes, the capri pant is now grown up. Not like your bedazzled bottoms of yesteryear, we’re showing you capri pants with a modern agenda.

Leather

Get rough and tough in a leather capri. Far from the pretty pants from your kinderyears, a leather capri brings an edgy feel to the classic pant. Go for comfort and slip into a wide-legged capri that lets your legs breathe. The billowing silhouette works well in warmer weather but can easily be adapted to brace the cold with the addition of a suede ankle boot and ribbed turtleneck. Style the luxe textile with minimal but rich accessories for a clean look.

Denim

Ditch your basic bottoms and opt for denim with daring details. Look for a jean with patchwork and distressed elements that spruce up basic denim. Darker washes and tighter fits skew rebellious. Try loose-fitting, bleached denim for a softer look. Finish off with a billowing blouse and heels for a HR-approved Casual Friday outfit.

Fleece

Keep things casual with a fleece capri. Whether you’re spending the day lounging on the couch or out and about, let a fleece capri be your first choice. It’s warm and cozy nature works well in relaxed occasions and sporty affairs. Elevate the pant with a boxy leather tee for structure or wear them with a cropped sweater and low-tops for a lazy Sunday.

Be it leather, denim or fleece, let the capri be your new basic. Dress them up with heels or down with sneakers and flash some flesh in a capri pant.
